Dragonhunter (Hagenius brevistylus)

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by fishbio, Aug 13, 2009.

  1. Hi All

You saw one of these a little while ago, but it's my favourite dragon, so I have to share. This one was hanging around a beach on a lake on the pre-cambrian shield. Every time it landed it was perpendicular to the sun and close to the water. I was on my knees with one leg in the water to get a shot of this male.

    Cheers,

    Larry

  11. Thanks, Glenn

There were two males and a female at the beach. She was laying eggs and the males were just lazing around.
