These yellow roses are one week shy of being four months old. Their visible deterioration stopped after about two weeks.
Setup
The tabletop is a piece of wood. A small continuous-light lamp above and on the right was positioned far enough away to create hard shadows. (I would photograph fresh flowers with the lamp as close as possible to create soft shadows. I might also add a diffusion sock to create the softest possible shadows.) A white reflector in the left front area lifted shadow tones in that area.
