[Drowning Wasp]

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by Kevin_d50, Jun 2, 2007.

  1. Caught this poor wasp in our bird bath this morning - rescued him by picking him up with a blade from one of our palm trees.
He shrugged himself off, did that cute number of cleaning his antennae and face, and flew off to wherever wasps fly off to :)

As can be seen here, he was hanging on for dear life onto a blade of grass - I'm amazed he stayed afloat..

Here he is all chipper and cleaning himself up.

    Cheers all

  5. hi there alex.
no, I use a $10 tripod for holding the flash off cam.
works a treat, fully adjustable, up, down, left, right :D
