Dual Batteries in the MB-D200

Discussion in 'Nikon DX DSLR Forum' started by EdMac, Dec 29, 2005.

  1. I have a question concerning using the smart batteries in the MB-D200. Are both batteries in use or is there a switch over. Which battery is used to indicate the charge level to the camera, or is that bypassed with the MB-D200. Anyone have any experience with 2 batteries in the MB-D200?

I was lucky this morning and ordered one while B&H still had some in stock. They just emailed me saying it was shipped. UPS indicates that it is in transit. I guess I will have one soon. Now if we could just buy spare batteries.

  2. I just got my MB-D200.... you can use 6AA batteries.

I dont know of anyone how got a 2nd or 3rd battery.. some just got the camera

I called nikon and ask... WHERE are the batteries... ? its upto nikon in Japan
how many they send and WHEN :shakeheadno: :(

FWIW, I talked to NPS and complained about batteries. They told me that as far as they know everyone should be satisfied with batts and grips in two weeks time, at the latest.

if it operates like the d100, then it uses one battery at a time, how it operates, no idea.

I saw somewhere that it uses one battery at a time.
