Dual monitor question - solved

Discussion in 'Adobe Processing Products' started by Rich Gibson, Jul 23, 2008.

  1. I have the 30" HD monitor and a 23 " Viewsonic which have been working perfectly for years. Today when I clicked the mouse the Apple HD came on but the viewsonic remained black. However when I moved the mouse to the right the cursor appeared on the black, Viewsonic monitor. I can move it around all over the screen, I just have nothing else.

    Any ideas/suggestions?

    Thanks

  2. I am assuming you rebooted and checked for loose connecting cables.
If that doesn't work try switching the monitors to opposite ports.

What you described happens to me at times. LEt us know.

  3. Rebooting solved it, thanks. Very puzzling.

  4. It happens to my wife at times and she has just one monitor. The screen goes black - usually doesn't wake from a sleep and the cursor is an outlined white.

  5. Exactly.
