Well I am not sure what kind of duck this is. Maybe someone knows. Then I can give him a name.

Thank you very much. I would never have guessed a Mallard. Hummmm
I see them all the time around work, this one just looked different.
    Thanks again.

  7. Hi Gale, nice shots. The #2 is fantastic with the wings position. Good capture at the right moment.

    Thank You Dao,

    So good to see you.
    I was suprised.
They do this so fast, it is really not all that easy to catch them.

    Hi Ken,
How you feeling. How are things going. I know it is slow. But sure glad to see ya in here again.

    Thank you very much.

Yes it seems we do have quite a variety of birds to shoot and lots of different action...

Hope you can or wil join us one day.

I'm really doing better....every day shows a marked improvement over the last one! But the REAL test is when I can post a new photo!!

I hope to get to Florida sometime in the not-too-distant-future. I have a daughter and two granddaughters in Hollywood, and several old friends from my years in south Florida to see, not to mention my new buds from the NikonCafe....

Very nice, Gale! Check out the similarity of this bird's head with my Mallard hen portrait you commented on - could be sisters. Isn't that flash of iridescence on the wing in the second shot amazing? Great timing on the capture of the action.

    Hi Gordon,

Awww so you snuck a duckie in your bag and brought it back home. Now I see :>)))

I am always amazed at the beautiful colors that are hidden under birdie wings. I have a Kingfisher that sure does not look that colorful when flying. (you gotta be real close hahaha ) to see the pretty colors.

    Thank you very much.
