Was playing around with my D2x to set it up for RAW + JPEG and took some test photos in low light with exposure compensation of +1, +2, and so on up to +5. When I view them on the LCD in playback, they all look the same, i.e. all the same (dark in this case) exposure. When I take a bracketed exposure with three shots -1, 0, +1, they look as you would expect when you view them in playback on the LCD. Is there some setting or somehing else I am missing?
  2. If you are using manual mode, the EV does not alter the image.

Duh, that was it. Makes perfect sense. Thanks.
  4. I did the same thing, not that uncommon.
  5. Randy,
Thanks for the question. I am not a big manual reader and I pay the price some times for not reading it cover to cover.
With your question and Dave's answer, it explains a lot about my manual exposures. Thank you for your "dumb" question.......
