This past Friday my wife and I visited Wildwood Park in Radford, VA, which always has an amazing wildflower display at this time of year. The most impressive bloom this year was the Dutchman's Breeches. They covered a large area of the hillside.

Yesterday we went with friends to Fenwick Mines Recreation Area north of new Castle, VA. We had never been there in the Spring, so didn't know what to expect. To our surprise, we found huge drifts of Large-flowered Bellwort.

Beautiful wildflower photos. We will have similar blooms here in Minnesota, but weeks out yet🥶. Getting antsy to get out into the woods and find Trillium, orchids, wild ginger, bluebells.

I missed these earlier. Haven't had too much spare time for the cafe the past couple of weeks. What beautiful flowers. So glad you are getting out. We won't have wildflowers in our woods for a while yet.
