Crows and Mocking birds will literally chase anything.
The Eagle has never tried to get a bird that I have seen.
Now if it was by the nest, I am sure it would be a totally different matter:>)))

Thank You for the kind words.

Hi Mitch,
It was rather comical...
The Eagle would just look and crouch down a bit.
This was a many as I could keep in frame:>)))))

Thank You Sandi,
Glad you enjoyed a bit of nature:>))

This time the Eagle stuck it out
Sometimes they just get tired of it and fly.

I think the Crow turned chicken

Hi Gale,

This is quite a series you captured! These would be a great candidate for one of those large picture frames that hold multiple images. These are some really nice action images!

How many passes did the crow make? I'm curious if it was a persistant pest or just a couple of fly bys?

Andy that would be a great idea.
I have a couple more in the gallery.
These are the only ones I captured. He was being a real pest. He gave up sooner than I though he would. Usually they will magage to chase the Bird off. I wanted that shot of the eagle flying off with the crow in chase.I kept focus on the Eagle because I wanted the thaat flight shot. Well that did not happen. heehee this time:>)))
Maybe next time I will not zoom out so far and get more of the action.

Glad you enjoyed the series.

Gale you sure captured the action great. This series sure shows how those crows love to chase the eagles. Around here it is not uncommon to see a dozen or more crows diving at the eagles or hawks. Maybe some day I will be lucky enough to see the eagle nail one.

Actualy Gale for the most part when a small bird (and there are quite a few that do) disturb a raptor like the eagle the eagle will eventually just leave. Some times the small bird will chase after it. Orioles love to harrest the eagle when it is perched up top of a pine and I have sat and watched it many times and the eagle leaves most of the time. The only one I can say hung in there was this female I watched as a bliue jay dove and dove at it as she protected her young eaglet from the sun while in the nest. No one really knows why the small birds chase after the eagle but in the case of the one I have I think the bluejay may have had a nest in another pare of the eagle nest and felt it was in some danger. I'll have to find it as it came out pretty good and amazed quite a few eagle people.

Does an Eagle ever attack a bird that bother her nest , babies

I know the Great Horned owl will steal an eagles nest

I just find it so strange that a bird with such power , talons and beak wouldn't attack these pests.
