  1. Had a pretty decent morning a couple of weeks ago on the Yakima River shooting eagles. These were all taken with the Nikon 300mm pf and a D5.

Wow! What a nice sequence! #4 is perfect timing...and #5 also although the wing is a bit sharper than the head. Group focusing mode or ? With your skills, that 300 PF is really serving you well! Were you using a tele?

  3. Thanks very much Karen. I was using Grp Focus Mode and a TC 1.4.

Perfect sequence and timing!!! Amazing photography!!!

  5. Great sequence. I like the one when the fish is still in the water. The 300 works well for you. I would jump on one but need more than 300.

  6. great sequence.... I love the 300 pf.... small and sharp what else can you ask for.
    great job Louie

  7. Stunning sequence. Well captured.

  8. Louie I remember that morning. I have yet to process any of mine. These are great and what a fun day we had.

  9. You really make that 300pf sing! And unlike some of the other sequences we've seen here, this bird didn't take the time to give you a dirty look :D

Shots like this always make me wonder what is going through his head as he flashes in for the kill!

  11. Thank you so much Ella.

Thanks very much Allan, all I can say is that this little 300mm pf is a joy to shoot with. These were shot with the D5, 300 & a TC1.4.

Michael, many thanks always appreciate your comments.

    Cheers

  14. great stuff. Seldom see a sequence where you see incoming, poised, target identified and success. Compelling and impressive. Shows what fine equipment in the hands of someone who know what to do with it can do.

    Envious.

  15. Appreciate your kind word, thank you.

Thanks Jim, it was a fun day and the eagles and light were on our side for once.

  16. I can feel him reaching with those talons! Stunning series.

  17. OOH Yeah you nailed these!!!!
