Wow, stunning work. Just as an observer, I find it a great set of captures and good story.

Super photo set! I think your gizzard shad is a small bass. Look at the mouth, tail and the dorsal fin in photo #6 and the under side of the jaw, shape of the body and the green color in photo #7. Can`t help it, fish farmers are like that.

O SHoot Robert I better learn my fish as well as my eagles.:biggrin:Thanks for the correction as I did not think there were bass in there and the studies done by the power authority over a 2 year period told us eagle people that they got mostly shad so I went with the odds and I guess I lost. Good eye there fish farmer:wink::wink:

I would love to get that sequence..wow
Thanks for sharing that

Thanks GAle and actually I got a few of them but this was the best of the bunch. I would pick a bird roosting in the trees looking in the river and put my lens on it and wait. As soon as I though it was going down went the shutter 0n my camera and I just tried to stay tracking. Great place and you should try it in Nov. to Jan. hundreds of eagles and I even found 4 birds with blue bands (N.Y. birds) and I was able to read and ID them later.
