Ran across this one in the files and thought it might be worth sharing. I guess this guy wasn't too impressed with having his portrait made and he let out this huge yawn. Shot along the Chilkat River.

Great shot! I didn’t realize birds had tongues until I got my first close-up of an eagle years ago. It surprised me that they had them. Jeff

If you notice on top of his mouth he's got what passes for teeth as well.

That is spectacular, not only as a shot but with the 600 and a TC2.0 that is great detail!
Thanks, Andreas. I had rented that 600 to try it out. At the time I was trying to decide whether to purchase a 500 or 600mm prime. I was well pleased with the IQ and with how well the lens handled TCs. But a big part of my evaluation was based on handling for air travel. Mostly for that reason I ultimately opted for the 500.
Ahhhhhhhhhh..........wow
Thanks, Darrell.
This is certainly a step above!!
Thanks, Allan. That sort of light isn't the norm for Chilkat.
Just great, Dan! Makes me smile!
Thanks, Dossy. Glad you enjoyed the image.
Excellent capture Dan(y).
Thanks, John.
