Eagles on a clam tide

Clam tides are normally not my favorite time to go out on the beach in search of eagles and other birds, but after this weekend I may have to change my mind on that. Amongst all of the clam diggers there were plenty of shorebirds and one persistent eagle, and this guy was not going to be intimidated by any clam diggers. I photographed this eagle for over an hour while it stayed in one spot and finally when a few of the diggers got just a bit to close he was off.
Anyway, it was a great weekend with eagles, Dowitchers, Yellowlegs, Redknots and Snowy Plovers on the beach most every morning.
All shot from the window of my truck.

Wow Louie what a find. Looks like you had a great time at the ocean. Janice and I took a long drive down to Longbeach on Friday but we did not have much time to spend as we had to get home. We saw lots of eagles around there as well but no great photo opps like this. Your images are great and what a treat to have good light as well.

Super job on these Louie! Eagles walking always gets a  out me they look so awkward...but when they take to the air I am always amazed at this beautiful creature.Glad to see you still have some to get pics of.
