You are all so kind! The day was miserable - totally a bust. We were in a area likened to the Alps - and we had trouble even seeing the mountains! With the rain coming down pretty hard and the bobbing boat, it was a very frustrating and disappointing day.

#1 with the wet eagle, ice and gray background says it all!

So I was pretty surprised to find any salvageable shots!

Good stuff for the conditions you had Karen...Alaska can be a tricky place to get a picture of wildlife if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Wow Karen, your first capture is amazing, I'm guessing that you are enjoying your 200-400mm lens? Keep posting, I am enjoying your photography very much.

Oh man I did not need these, just got our first cool weather and now I am freezing. Love the first especially the blue tint in the ice, COOL.

Wow - thanks for all the comments! The eagle in #1 didn't look like he was having a good day either!

The eagle shot in #1 coveys the difficulty of the day. Great job in spite of the weather conditions..

Looks to me like you actually had a good. Could it have been better sure but Alaska and eagles is a good day and a great shot to prove it.

Excellent Job

Thanks for Sharing and at least to me, #1 says that even the majestic eagle has another hard day at the office. I think your photo offers a brilliant perspective I've not seen before. Well done--Al
