Eaglets first flight

Actually, are they still called eaglets at three months?
I actually can't be sure whether it's the very first flight but close to it. It was still hesitant to jump into the unknown but seemed to like flying. This flight was only about 45 seconds.

Once they have a flight, they are officially fledglings. Great capture at a unique time.

Yes! I just wondered if at a certain age or size when they were still in the nest they were stopped being called eaglets.
They will hang around the nest for another month, or nearby trees, and try and beg for food, etc, but pretty quick the parents will want their space, lol.
