    Hi guys

No pictures to show yet as I am only 1 week in to my 5 week trip. Just wanted to let you know that I hope to have lots to show you when I get back. The Serengeti was astounding.

    Regards

  2. David enjoy it while you're there.

Open yours eyes and try to record every shape and every detail....
Open your ears and try to listen to every little sound and tune and every shade of them....
Open your ..."nose" and try to scent -or sniff- every odour and tang...
Open your heart and feel the "ferocity" of the primitive land...
Open your mind and meet yourself, afterall we are all ...Central Africans!

Try NOT to take photos ALL the time...
Africa will be calling you back every year... trust me!

I'm not sure about this part , but otherwise I agree with Panos' sentiment. Have a good trip.

Thanks for the comments guys. You are right about the smells Jeff - but it is all part of the atmosphere.

When i was only 10 feet away from a fully grown male lion who is lazing under a tree after feasting on a newly killed zebra I realised how lucky I was. What a magnificent beast.

    Regards

    David
