No, just some tonal contrast in LR and cloned out some clutter in the dark image then sharpening in PS. Taken from ~ 12 feet away with the Sigma 150-600

Yes I found that the case...I seldom used my macro lens. I much preferred the images rendered by the 70- 200 or 300 mm. And I tried focus stacking for a while - invested in the rails and software...but....too much work and again I preferred longer distance macros..

Yup. What was the focal length?

The light one was at 350 mm The Dark was at 500 mm.. ( ran out of room in the living room - where the afternoon ambient light was just right.)

I use my 300/4 AFS with 1.4x TC on a cropped body for bugs. That's 630mm FF equivalent. Works a treat. But of course the 300/4 is known for its close-focusing ability. I don't know about the Sigma 150-600.

I was at 12 ft...for these flowers. adjuste the focus range on the lens to 2.8 to 10 meters in order to acquire focus. Then enjoyed to benefits of Live view and played with the manual settings ( A and S ; iso at 1600 on the D810) and until I got what I liked
