Great shots Mike. I especially appreciate it when you include the EXIF data. Helps me understand at least some of what you are doing. 8)

Thanks,

Excellent Mike. You have a corner on the market for great bird shots. Maybe you could rent out your front porch to poor struggling nature shooters. Way to go.

Was going to jump in and respond, but dont want to hijack Mike's thread. LOL...........but on the same topic as flash, I noticed you move your EV when using flash. Somewhere down the road or in my readings it always said to leave EV at 0 and compensate using the flash, interested in your thoughts...........

Very nice, Mac. I notice you used flash for 2 of the shots, but not for the others. What was your decision making process?
Frank It came down to one deciding factor. Wit the flash I had about a 10 minute wait between birds due to the flash spooking them, so I went with out the flash and tried to deal with the lower shutter speed but get more opportunities.
thanks for looking

I usually leave me cam a 0 EV and then set the ev in the flash, but sometimes I find that if I take a shot look at the histogram I realize that by a .3 adj might help I find it easier to dial in on the camera.
