I haven't looked this week, but the past couple of weeks I've noticed that the Eastern Bluebirds have returned to the yard, along with some juveniles.

    4. A bit of a family gathering (the suet that dad was feeding the kids was right below the metalic bird it was perched on)

  2. Very nice bluebird series Oren. Also like the nuthatch pics. Watching them just makes me smile for some reason.

    Thank you, Larry.

    Thank you, Blue_gsx.

    Thank you, Ryan. I was using the 300 f/4 AF-S w/ the 1.7TC.

Gorgeous shots! Numbers 1 and 4 are my favs. Did you use a tripod? I have the same lens, but have a hard time hand holding it without camera shake even w/o the TC.

    Loved all of your shots.

Thanks, Jean. I think I ended up using a tripod for all of these---though I also shoot the combo hand-held a lot. AF-C and a fast shutter speed helps :)

    Thank you, Tim.

The bird perching on a steel bird is a nice touch. The pose in #7 is really neat.

Hate to comment so late and bring this higher up, but I'd be remiss if I didn't say: thank you, erewhon.

Now, off to comment on others' pix and push this puppy back down!
