A few weeks ago, I was part of a group that visited the Eastern Sierra region of California. Here are some photos from that trip.

I mostly used the Z6 with a 14-30 f4 or 24-70 f4.

#8 Bending Notes ( The idea of this shot isn't original. I saw it on Michael Frye's blog and wanted to try it out. It's a fun technique with the phone pano feature where you wiggle the phone while you pan).

We had access to the park after hours one night and interior access to some of the buildings on another morning.

Thanks for checking out my thread.

These are outstanding, Alvin! I especially love the ones from Mono Lake, which is a destination that has been on my bucket list for years. Your photos are making me want to plan a trip out there!

Thanks Lyndee! If you make a trip out here, you won't be disappointed.

These are great. A successful outing for sure. I really like #1.
Thanks Mitchell. The Chemung Mine is in the area of Bodie, but a different mining operation. Still interesting though.

Not a lot I can say except "Totally Wow". I am hoping next year to go to Bodie. I will be taking so many photos the camera will get hot.
Thanks Jim! I'm sure you'll go wild out in Bodie. It's a great place to visit.

Gorgeous series. Really interesting, successful composition in the first one, the likes of which I don't remember ever seeing.
Thanks Mike. The Chemung Mine isn't as well known as Bodie, but still interesting.

Great set, really like 5, 8 and 8.
Thanks Rick! The first light in Bodie is really great, warm window light. Night shooting at Bodie was more difficult than I thought it would be, but still a great experience.

Thanks everyone for checking out my thread.

#3 Mono Lake is awesome. Those colors. Just wow.
