I'm not a usual flower buff but the gardens were in prime for rose blooms. Getting photos now is the only way to get ahead of future magazine articles. Lead time must be in months and sometimes more than one year. I was hoping to spend time with individual blooms but there was so much of a breeze that the buds were moving all over the place. In fact, I went off tripod and slapped the 105 mm f/2.8 on the D2X and went hand held to get what I could. It was like tracking down little racing rabbits just to get something. The first part of this album has individual buds/blooms that I was able to get.

Your rose shot are lovely, Larry, but, of course, you knew they are the way to a woman's heart!

And to think that I have a wife that likes cut flowers better. Great cost savings :D
