Editing actions in PS CS3

Discussion in 'Adobe Processing Products' started by Pa, Aug 19, 2008.

  1. I'm relatively new to using actions in Photoshop. I created an action today, and I would like to modify one step. PS 'Help' says to open the actions palette, double click on the command, and enter the new value. However, when I double-click the command I get the message: "The command 'xxxx' is not currently available".

Does anyone know a way around this roadblock?

You must have a picture loaded (any ol' thing) and the command must currently be "valid" in context - if the tool only runs in 8-bit mode, your currently-loaded photo must be in 8-bit, etc. Basically, you're actually recording an edit step, and you must be in a valid edit mode to do it.
