    I also like the vertical reeds in the left frame, it balance the framing. But the diagonal reed is distracting.

    Nice shot, Ben! Those Great Egrets are a challenge in light or shadow to get the exposure right. When the light and shadow are mixed like in your shot, it's even more of a challenge. Nicely captured!
