Emergence of a Brachytron pratense

Earlier this year when I was out shooting dragonflies I caught this emergence of a female B. pratense - Hairy Hawker. I wish I had spotted it a little earlier. This was exciting as it was also my first shots of this species. The process took 2 hours and 10 minutes.

33 shots, 2 hours and 10 minutes later this was the last shot before she took off to her new life as an imago.

This is an awesome series Torben. It is too bad you couldn't have been there from the start, but what you managed to get is great. 2hrs and 10 min.... that's dedication. The lighting is great. Seeing the transformation in the wings is very cool.
