The lighting and background is beautiful, but your subjects seem unhappy.

Get them smiling in the same pose with same lighting and same background, and you've got a solid winner.

I think this is a case where you fell in love with the lighting and background which are great. As an engagement picture, it doesn't work. It looks more like an ad for divorce court.

Yeah, I had some more happy/loving ones. This was them being fashiony and serious. The man was a terrible smile so it was really hard to get both of them looking good. Even when I had him laughing he looked like he was faking it. :/
