We came back from a week in Maine and stayed at a friends house in West Brook, Connecticut on the way back to Virginia. I ran over to Essex Steam Train in Essex, Connecticut to see what was happening. I was able to get the last excursion train coming in for the evening.

I like this one – it looks like it is a model train:

Mark, those are some great looking shots. I've never been there but it looks like I'll have to add it to my list of places to visit.

  3. Nice Mark!

I agree with the "model" comment. Cool perspective!

    Rick,

Thank you - you may also wish to consider visiting Strasburg Rail Road in Lancaster County, Pa. The TCA museum is a block away and the PA Train musuem is right across the street. 3 for the price of one trip.

Mark, I've been to Strasburg, but not since I got my D80. Sounds like I have a reason to go again.

If nothing else, you could go on Friday and go to the Green Dragon Farmer's Market and get some fresh shoofly pie!

  8. Very nice series Mark, thanks for sharing.

  9. Excellent shots, Mark. You were in my backyard and I enjoy photographing the steam train both at the station and out and about on its journey north.

Thank you Fred, I need to actually take the train and boat ride some time. I hear the bald eagle shots on the water are nice.
