Beautiful chad. Looks like that 70-200VR was the perfect lens.

  4. Chad, You scared the devil out of me!... ;-) ... when I opened the post, I didn't expect to see these big reddish eyes staring me down!!  Very nice capture, very crisp and the fill flash is perfect! 8)

  5. Super shot Chad, the eyes really stand out. The lens combo gave razor sharp pic. Good going.

  6. Thanks, I wish I would have stopped down so the background was somewhat recognizable and the ears were in focus, but I really thought this was going to be a throw away shot. I didn't pay must attention to my aperture (just made sure the shutter was below 1/500). This bird shooting is quite exhilarating, isn't it?

  7. Great job what a wonderful looking bird

  8. Excellent Chad, this is a magnificent looking bird and you have capture it well. You gotta love the 70-200mm lens, sooo sharp.

  9. That's a cool shot! My wife and I have been birding for a while but we haven't even seen an owl let alone photographed one!
