    All I do is adjust curves to my taste; sharpen a slight bit; and I add a layer with texture (I have several images of texture) and I often shoot tree bark, rust, crust, etc. to use for texture; and lastly I try the differnet modes to see which one I like best. I use overlay quite a bit.
