Evening Watch: Faces and Feet

Discussion in 'Birds' started by beaucamera, Aug 13, 2005.

  1. The evening hours bring such delights. The fawns from this year's crop are growing up. Their spots are starting to fade and they are a lot more independent. The quail add to the chatter and color of the eventide. I even got a shot of Jr. learning from dad. You'll find them all here:

  3. Blue Color

The blue tinge comes from the fact the the fawn is in shadow. I used "shadows & highlights' to bring out the detail...and the shadow came out blue. You'll note that the white around the ears is true because it is in sunlight. I wasn't sure whether to try further corrections, so I just left it know you'd find this!

Photographers are so demanding. You can never give them a big enough picture! Web designers have to design for viewers who don't have such big screens.

If there is one you'd really like to see in large scale, give me a shout.

  5. Well, Paul, I used PSCS2 for my RAW conversion. I'd be happy to email you my NEF to see what you can do with it.

    Thanks,

PS. The tail's not "blue" in the orginal!

  6. Paul, I tried another version myself. I made it bigger too.

Do you like this one better?

Definitely like the last version better Virginia. It's a cutie.

  9. Your "Do"

Thanks, Paul, for posting your "do". She is a charming lady. I am amazed at how post processing can impact an image. If I've learned one thing from this, it may be that one should refrain where possible from doing too much of it and concentrate more on getting right in the camera. Thanks again for your astute observations and expert counsel!
