Taking with a Nikkor 800 5.6 ED-IF AIS and a D3. I stopped down to F8 which I rarely do , but I wanted to get both birds in focus. As it was they ended up on the same focal plane. This was at minimum focus. Lens/camera mounted on a Wimberly and a Carbon fiber gitzo tripod.

Taken with Nikkor 800 5.6 ED-IF AIS with TC14C on a D3 Hand held while panning at 1/250 second. I didn't have time to set up my tripod when I saw this bird coming from the corner of my eye. Not the sharpest image but Ill take it.

Taken with with a Nikkor 800 5.6 ED-IF AIS and TC 301-TC14C-TC14B converters with tubes in between. Mounted on Wimberly and gitzo tripod shot a a D3 cable release. I took this little fellow from my balcony . I wouldn't normally use three teleconverters on my 800 mm but it was fun to do and I think the results are not to bad. the effective focal length would be 800mm x 2 x 1.4 x 1.4 = long

Glass bling. I like it. I just had a meeting with my Web Designer and the process is in motion for my web site. And up loading my photo's to Smug mug /flicker. While there I got to try/Play with a Nikkor 70-200 2.8 VR and a Nikkor 28-80 2.8 Beast. Pretty fun. Im lost when it comes to AF shooting(Menu's framing . I think I'll with stick with my Nikkor AIS for now. But It was fun to try for a couple hours. I lined up a trip to mexico to photograph birds as well. All in all, a pretty good day.

Sorry for the crappy shots of the Nikkor Tele's on my friends bed sheet. I was moving and didn't put to much effort into that one. Like I said Ill try to "display" my catch in a more suitable and ascetic composition. If I get inspired I might even dig out my pocket wizards and umbrella's. Anyways, thanks for looking.
