Exploding sky

Oct 18, 2020

I am an early riser, which can annoy my travel companions. However, I try never to disturb them when I am preparing for my morning meanders. This was one of those meanders.

I left our comfy hotel room at about 6:15am to get out to see some of the city before the masses got up. I walked up the hill, through the neighbourhood behind our hotel. I coulld not stop gazing at some of the wonderful old homes that have been converted to hotels and B&Bs (like ours) and the ones that are still family homes.

As I kept on my merry way I found a new way to get to this gate (Porte St Louis). It didn't occur to me to walk the entire city wall but I did find my way up this path to this spot and looked up at the sky, which, appeared to be exploding. This is not an effect here but, the actual sky. I could not miss this shot....well...actually I did, this is my second attempt at it.

Yes indeed. I had never seen anything like it before.
