I'm having a little hard time exposing correctly with my newly added 10.5mm.

It appears that it is underexposing by .5 to .7 ev. Is this normal with the 10.5mm? It helps if I use center weight, however, I wanted to see if other 10.5mm users experience similar metering characteristics.

    Thanks

I typically use Matrix with my fisheye... If you're outdoors it may be metering too much for the sky and underexposing.

I usually shoot in Manual mode - you may try and just bump shutter speed down a click or two to get it to expose properly

mine overexposes as did my sigma 10-20
I always figured it was just letting in more light

try ev=-.3 and chk the histogram and also shoot in raw
