    Yes minou, it's infrared -- taken with a D200 that was converted by LifePixel. The lens used in the instant case was a 70-200VR.

    Thanks to all who've stopped to look.

    I don't think it's a good idea to try to 're-do' photographs very often, but I had occasion this morning for more pix of this little owl (it lives in a tree in our back yard) and feel a lot better about this one:
