One of the awesome displays of power and agility at the airshow was the F/A-18 Super Hornet that was put through some staggering maneuvers. They kept it below the sound barrier, but it was still something to watch. Here are a few shots from the demo:

They also did a flyby with 2 WWII fighters that had been flying in a reenactment session in what was dubbed a "Legacy Flight". Not sure on the ID of the older planes. I was really amazed that the Hornet could slow down enough to fly in formation with the older planes.

  2. Well, one of them is, I think, an F4U Corsair (the one with the gull shaped wings).

Don't about the other, a Buffalo maybe?

    I like the shots.

Very nice shots, Don. The second and third image are my favorites. I wish that I could offer some insight on the older aircraft, but I have no clue. Thanks for posting your captures.
