Falcon Chicks

Four out of her five eggs hatched. The chicks are 4-5 days old. D800E with a 105/2.8 VR.

Nice shot! and with a 105 no less! I know it's a portrait lens - but GEEZ! - most folks would need a long lens for a shot like this! In the wild?

Karen, I was able to use the 105mm because she was only about 3-4 feet from me. I shot this through a very small (and very dirty) window that looks into the roof top cul-de-sac where she is nesting.
