By the time of year these were taken there were virtually no bugs. But from about the first of June through mid-August they have to factor into one's planning/preparations. Keep in mind fall here starts about mid-August in the interior part of the state. First week of September down on the coast around Anchorage and the Kanai. In Southeast Alaska fall is a bit later and they spell it RAIN.Wow, Dan - each of these is simply beautiful. I've never been up to your part of the world, and these inspire me to do so ASAP, perhaps next Fall. One question: how were the insects?
All you've gotta do is get in a car and head west by north, Bob. The border is open headed out of Canada. And maple leaves are always welcome herewow...what a place to be and to have the priviledge to photograph. And we have the pleasure of seeing it through your photos. Nice!
