Fall colors: last ones - early morning

A couple of images from my backyard early this morning (ever wondered why it is called the "Golden Hour"??).

The last few leaves left in my trees in their final color phase...

Sure does look a LOT better on my monitor as well as in print.
That goes for everyone though (~150K Web version vs. original 17MB TIFF - no brainer).

Ooh yes - great colours. The second one show such a contrast between the leaves and the blue sky, hot and cold.

I prefer the composition of the first though. Nicely done.

Why «golden hours» 'cause they are most cheeriest hours...before getting up for work, especially these last days of «after the rain, here come the clouds». :biggrin:

The leaves stand out against the blue sky, there's still a few isolate spots with bright colors but the days are getting pretty short.

Sure thing Gilles. This morning the tree looks totally different, less then 24 hrs. after these shots: Colorless, dull, grey sky, quite a bit fewer leaves......it's getting there...
