I captured this image of some African Wild Dogs at the Brookfield Zoo yesterday with my D300 and 300 2.8. The dogs were attracted to a jet plane approaching Midway Airport.

I wish the image was just a bit sharper. But, I had the shutter speed set at just 1/80th at f/6.3 to keep the ISO at 320. The lens was secured to a tripod.

This is the first time I've seen a picture of them that makes them look cute. Must be the cold climate and the winter coat you don't see them with in Africa.

Thanks Scott...

This was the first time the pups were allowed outside. They are not allowed outside yet unless the temperatures are at least 40 degrees and the conditions are dry. They are just three months old now.

you were there are the right time!! love how attentive they look and their markings-- very interesting looking animals! great shot!

Thanks Lindsey...I find the markings to be very interesting. The pups really draw a crowd!
