Went for my second visit to the Farnborough Air Show 2008 today. Unlike my last vist on Monday, I had my D300, 80-200 and 1.4TC with me, and here's the results:

Nice pics, Martin. The Vulcan came low over my house but I was just too late to get pics of it. Did you get the B-1B? I managed to get some but they are not that good.

I put some B-1B pics on my flickr (link in sig)

Great set the Red Arrow landing is my favourite.

I am still kicking myself for not getting my rear in gear and getting tickets - I might try a last ditch attempt on Saturday to see if I can find a half decent vantage point near the airfield.

The Vulcan is the sweetest plane around. You don't see many of them any more. I can remember years ago seeing one at the air show in Toronto, Canada. It had just flown in non-stop from the UK and was on its way back. It just floated on the air.

Wow those are really great images. I like the one where he is upside down...you can see the pilot's silouette. Good Job Martin.

Many thanks for your kind words guys. The skies yesterday weren't too great and neither was my vantage point. Still, some of them turned out OK.

And yes, I did get the B1B. Still have some to check out for PP work. Not sure those shots were that great, but I'll check them out later.

Good to put a face with the name. Whenever I see your avatar I think you're a talking cat!

You should add this image to your avatar. Very nice image.

I believe the Vulcan here is the only one flying, and even that was after a restoration job (completed just this year in time for the current airshow season).
