fast focus

I don't. They are identical to me. But it's easier on a D500, if the distance is long, since you see the 1.5 crop in the VF
Thanks, I have both cameras which I use with Nikon lenses for birds in flight and the d850 has a problem with fast flying birds, so much so I no longer use my 850 for B.I.F.

With the same lens and the same light my D500 and D850 focus equally fast. There is not a difference for me. But as Randy said the 1.5 crop makes a difference in the viewfinder. Not so much in the actual image as the pixel pitches are so close.

John.............where I notice it between the D500 on a 500mm f/4 and the D850 on the same 500mm f/4 with a 1.4 TC is that the D500 is quicker/more responsive. I just figure that it's because of the 1.4 on it with the D850.
