Father and Son - Starling

  1. Captured Father and Son Starling.

    Both "posing" in the light of the setting sun...

    Nikon D200 with 70-200VR + Kenko 2x TC
    1/200s f/10.0 at 400.0mm iso280



    I think this combo isn't as bad it's reputation (once you stop it down 1 or 2 stops) :redface:

  4. I like starlings and all the dark black birds as their feather detai shows nice. I like the satuation you have on the yellow parts of the photos and I am quite surprised the Kenco 2X worked OK on the 70 to 200 VRG as I have a Tamoron 2X and on that same lens it won't function. The lens locks up but if I put it on my 80 to200Dmount 2.8 it is fine. Something with the electronics I guess as I have a Kenco TE for my Canon glass and no trouble.
    Again these are very good looking photos as I see them.
