My faves? Beach volleyball babes Misty May and Kerri Walsh.
Who's yours? Picture, please.
Pieter van den Hoogenband - swimming
gotta love them more than ever, frank
especially with the close-knit family murder of the indoor men's coach's father-in-law
these gals are terrific.... and, real rocks
i'll take Jason Lezak today:
this gal stole my heart the other day
this never made US TV
but.... on the KOREAN CHANNEL on my high-def brighthouse cable
they showed the women's 48KG weightlifting event
this gal won
this year - LeBron James
all time - Patrick Roy
He's my favorite too. I always love watching him swim,
I'm with Frank, for all the wrong reasons...
Hehehe. I think the President is a Misty May fan, too .
Here's the rest of the article: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/08/bush-olympics.html
Btw, they won again today!
Who sings the song on the GM commercial shown during the olympics?
That's a question that's being repeated all over the internet. The song and the voice of the singer are hauntingly beautiful.
I tracked her down. The singer is Brandi Carlile from the Pacific Northwest. The song is "My Story". Here she is, performing it on youtube.
OK - so I'm showing my age...
Thanks for the link to that, Frank. I'd never heard the song or seen the commercial but going to YouTube is so easy, especially when someone posts a link to a specific video, and now that I've heard it I can see why it's so popular.
I am going to say Jason Lezak, after being denied, in 2000 and 2004, he would not be denied again. Maybe the best 100 meters ever swam.
GUO Jingjing and Wu Minxia, diving.
Any Usa Person!!!!!!!
Phil, GUO Jinjing is beautiful. Are you rooting for the athlete or the model?
Hey Uncle Frank - Speaking of butt slaps, did you see the segment on Kerri Walsh losing her wedding ring? The ending was priceless!
That song, "The Story," is beautiful! It's available on iTunes....
Nancy and I were rolling on the floor laughing. The shocked look on the good samaritan's face was, as you said, priceless.
