This is by no means intended to pass as a portrait. It is a just a quick pic I snapped just before we loaded up and headed off to a H.S. graduation. I simply wanted to share. However, as I'm always eager to learn, any and all C&C is welcomed!

Not a portrait, are you kidding?

Regardless of the setting and the time it took you to arrange and take the shot, you created an excellent portrait here.

Did you pose the two children? It looks as if you did, which in my mind makes it a portrait.

The posing, composition, and their beautiful attentive smiles make this a winner in my eyes.

The only possible thing I could possibly nitpick is the background. It would have been nice if there would have been more distance between your subjects and the wall which would lessen the sharpness of the bricks. Regardless, don't sell yourself short, you created a beautiful image.

Wow.....thanks for the great comments! That's just it, I didn't even pose them. I did have them out there to get some quick pics as they were dressed up for the graduation. I snapped a few pics and turned around and out of the corner of my eye I see him hugging his little sister. I did however say "smile and look at the camera". It was pretty much a chance happening.
