From the wilds of West Virginia, here are two whitetail fawns – as you see they can hide very well in the grass – you can walk by them and not realize they are there:

This one was walking and laid down as soon as ‘she’ saw me:

This one was already ‘hiding’ when I saw ‘her’:

Thank you Virginia - you never know when you are going to 'trip' over these - I am not sure how you would really 'look' for these...

Thank you - the famous 70-200VR - I just love this lens!

    They are so soft.
There a few very friendly deer at the zoo that love to be petted, and fed, lol...
    Yes very soft.

I would want to sit next to them to. That is a really young one

Wow! You were able to get really close. That's cool. Momma not around trying to shoo you away?

    Thank you

    Way too cute - Thanks

I did not see nor hear momma - I presume she went to eat some nuts - the woods are loaded with Oak.

Thanks Connie - it pays to be ready for the un-expected. I took my camera gear hoping to get bluebells - they and the red bud were out but they were in a wooded stream area which had heavy shading - I figured that would be the end of the photo shots for the day until I found these two...
