Week 23 - Whites Beach north to Discovery Bay.

Last week the starting point was Whites Beach and heading South. This week I start at Whites Beach and head North to Discovery Bay.

We are having the driest winter on record so have been having beautiful days for hiking and photos.

7. Not sure why you would want to build a fence here but someone saw a need once upon a time.

10. About 1 km inland from Discovery Bay are the Bridgewater Lakes. The lakes were formed through erosion and sedimentation. Over thousands of years the lakes became disconnected from the ocean and rainfall and groundwater sustained them

Discovery Bay from a distance. If you were to go about 1km in from the shore you would come to the Bridgewater Lakes.

Another wonderful set, Felix! The arc of the waves and distant hills disappearing into the mist in #1; terrific leading lines in #2; the vertical perspective in #4; and the colors and implied crashing sound in #6 *might* be my favorites this week.

8. The walk back to the lighthouse was on dusk. A great time to let the light work its magic.
