Female Ruby Throated Humming Bird

    Tried all summer to get a picture of these, unfortunately the males have already left on their journey south. D70 80x400 tele lens.
     
  2. Quite a feat to photograph a hummer. Congratulations on getting this nice image. I'm sure that as you keep at it you will be able to get many more. Thanks for sharing.

    That’s a nice capture Irene. Our males have been missing for a couple of weeks too, but it’s still fun to watch the females squabbling over feeder rights. Besides that, the females seem to be more willing to pose for the camera.
