Few close-up shot

  2. I have that lens also John. Kind of fun to play around with. Composition is very important with macro work and it is best if you can isolate a subject with the DOF and not have too much extraneous stuff around it. Image #2 comes closest to realizing that.

  4. Hi John -- I like the blue berry shot -- colours are quite nice.
    I've done some series like this with Winter Berries here in N.J. and have always liked that "3D" effect myself. I would probably play around with different crops on these shots (the leaf & the blue berries in particular) to exclude some of the complexity, but not too much, you know? What do you think?
