    Joe,

The weather Saturday was awful for shooting planes, I was unable to go, but did get some shots from work about a mile away. Sunday turned out much better. I will post some in a separate thread. The Raptor was amazing to watch and stills don't do it justice.

    What lens did you use?

Thanks Allen and Tom, The Raptor is the show getter , it didn't do any of the high vectored turns but still put on a show. Tom I was using a D3oo with a 80-200AFS with a 1.4x . The guy sitting on the bleachers below me had a D3 with a 500mm vr big gun droolllllll. How do you get any work done . I'd be looking out the window all day

  5. Really good Joe I love the last one. That amazing how that fly like that , and then you captured it. Were you up in your plane beside them? and what was the firey inferno in the other pics you sent me.

    Joe,

Thanks for the info. We have a furniture store in a shopping center more or less in the flight path with the back facing Oceana. Between customers I would try to position myself in the parking lot so the power lines wouldn't get in the way and wait. Many times I would get nothing, and as soon as I had gone inside to help a customer, something would make a low pass over the building. I just finished uploading a few of my photos they will be up shortly in a new thread. Here is a teaser. D300 with 70-300 VR, click the image for a large version.
