The appropriate question is...what do you need
I have the drop in cir pol and a couple of ND's for wide open daytime shooting.
Will i will be shooting mostly in the day with it but my first real shoot will be off shore power boat racing, my main question is they are they different to the normal screw on the end of the lens type filter and are drop in so what brand is good for this lens.

I use regular B&W ND filters (also for daytime shots wide open). The filters do need to be skinny enough to slide in and B&W works fine. Oh yea..(I didn't know this) I had a very hard time unscrewing the clear Nikon filter in the lens when it arrived. I thought that you had to screw the B&W filter on to the existing filter. Nope. Take out the Nikon filter and replace it with your new filter (ND or whatever)
