thank you both. I am really enjoying the D3 and sigma combination. Now that I have the 1.4 extender I was finally able to get closer to the action.

  5. These are excellent Matthew. They also show off the Sigma to good advantage.

Yeah the picture ones I was behind home plate and wanted to get some of the scoreboard into the shot to add to it.

Thanks again for the very nice comments (all) :)

If there is something I have learned about baseball is I don't mind motion blur on bat or hands. Don't get me wrong I would love to completely freeze action, but a batters swing or a pitchers pitch is something that I don't mind seeing motion with at times.

Plus at night time a 1/1000 shutter speed is just fine to freeze action (main body and face) and keeps my ISO under esp at F4

  10. very nicely done Matthew, #2 is my fave...

  11. Very nice captures. Excellent IQ.

I can't really add to what others have said. Like Randy said..."Superb!"

I really like the way you captured the eyes of the batter..after hitting a homerun.

    Great pitcher shots.

    I'm redundant....

    Superb!
